Education, Principles of Healing & Experience
Dr Wissinger began his education at the University of Lethbridge, where he studied neuroscience. He graduated from the University of Western States with a Doctorate in Chiropractic 2003. Shortly after graduation he began building his private practice. He believes in the idea that "not one thing works for every body". Dr. Wissinger understands the body needs to be treated as a whole, not simply treating specific parts. This means there should be a multidirectional approach to healthcare. This is done through treating the joints, addressing the soft tissues (muscles/ligaments) assessing proper diet and exercise, and combating stress levels both at work and home.
With this philosophy it was not long before Dr. Wissinger recognized a need for doctors and therapists of all disciplines to work closely together for a common goal. Since that time he has been building a multidisciplinary clinic, where doctors and massage therapy works closely together to better serve the patient.
Insuring that the patient’s condition is easily monitored and tracked as it improves. With the motto that "there should be a 50% improvement in the condition within two weeks or we change our approach" ... patients at Healing Hands Clinic of Natural Therapies experience amazing results.
What is a Chiropractor?
A chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.
Benefits of Chiropractic Treatment
Chiropractic is primarily used as a pain relief alternative for muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissue, such as cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. It is sometimes used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment.
Do I Need a Referral?
Most insurance plans allow you to see a doctor of chiropractic (DC) without a referral, but you can contact your insurance company directly to be sure there are no referral requirements.
